Early voting for the November 2026 general election begins October 19. This is an important time for faith communities to prepare for the election, help their communities access the ballot, and be ready to respond to what happens after Election Day. Faith Commons and the Mainline Protestant Stream invite clergy, congregational leaders, and people of faith across Dallas/Fort Worth to a training focused on practical ways faith communities can support voting access—which includes meeting local and state election officials and preparing to serve as poll chaplains. As part of this effort, the Mainline Protestant Stream is working with Sojourners and Faiths United to Save Democracy to offer poll chaplaincy training

WHY WE'RE GATHERING
These trainings prepare Dallas/Fort Worth clergy and congregational leaders to ensure their communities' access to the polls through Election Day, and to defend the integrity of the election grounded in our shared commitment to reimagine, renew, and heal democracy.
